Responsible Travel
The tourism industry has so much potential with regards to positively impacting local communities and economies, providing an incredible platform for cultural exchange and growth for our travellers, and even having a social impact by educating local communities about things like waste management, recycling and gender equality. In reality the industry usually has the opposite impact, exploiting both local communities and economies, which is where we want to be different.

Responsible Travel is the main reason Sundream Travels was created. After years working in the tourism industry, seeing first hand the amount of greenwashing and empty promises being made by tour operators globally, we wanted to create an honest and transparent business, that is accountable to the promises we make. We are in business to make a difference, and have a positive impact on both the communities we visit as well as our guests.

A set amount from each booking made with Sundream Travels will go towards our local partners, NGO's and other organisations that benefit their local communities, as well as at least 1% of our annual sales through 1% for the Planet. Guests will be able to track their impact through bi annual reports, as well as learning about the initiatives we support during our tours.

Equality and empowerment, providing equal opportunities to everyone, is something that is very important to us at Sundream Travels, and an area we are actively working together with several local organisations to address.
Animal Welfare
We love animals at Sundream Travels, and only work with ethical suppliers to provide our guests with enjoyable animal and wildlife encounters. We support multiple organisations that care for local animals and wildlife, and will always strive to increase our impact in this area.
Environment
Protecting and preserving our home, and the local communities we visit is our responsibility as a tour operator. We practice what we preach, and ensure all our tours can be enjoyed plastic free, as well as supporting local organisations that benefit their local environment, along with cleanups in nature on every tour.
Social & Community
The communities we visit on our tours, along with the people who live in them, make the experiences what they are. By choosing local operators and suppliers in these areas, as well as supporting NGO's and other organisations that have a positive impact in these communities, we are able to help support them in multiple ways, not just by creating jobs.
Why?
Sundream Travels was founded to give guests the best possible travel experience, whilst also having a measurable, positive impact in the communities we visit. It is our responsibility as a tourism stakeholder to do business in a responsible fashion, which is what we do. Giving back is no longer optional, it's essential.
How?
We partner with local NGO's, charities and organisations that benefit their local communities. By donating a set amount of our proceeds from each guest to these organisations, we are able to have a measurable positive impact, whilst being fully transparent about it.

We also partner with 1% for the Planet, committing to giving at least 1% of our annual sales to environmental organisations.

We are always on the lookout for more causes to support, and will always strive to have a bigger impact where we travel.
1% FOR THE PLANET
We are proud members of 1% for the Planet, which means we commit at least 1% of our annual sales to vetted environmental partners that work hard towards making the world a better place.

1% for the Planet members commit to donating at least 1% of annual sales directly to environmental organizations. They certify every donation to ensure businesses meet that commitment, holding businesses who say they give back accountable.
